The studio
Wargnema builds the tools it needs to ship games.
Wargnema is the independent studio behind Sprite Studio. One pipeline, one game in production, and the discipline that comes with both.
Why it exists
Built from doing the work by hand.
A story game needs hundreds of images that have to match: the same character, the same room, the same light, again and again.
Wargnema was producing those images by hand in ComfyUI: one render at a time, every fix manual, every rename done before the file could go into the game.
Sprite Studio is the pipeline we wished existed. Purpose-built screens replace the node graph, exports land in the game's folder already named the way the engine expects, and the features page walks through the whole pipeline.
It is not a demo. The app is in production every day, and daily use is what keeps the priorities honest.
Principles
What we believe.
Three beliefs that decide what gets built, and what gets left out.
Local-first.
The engine, the library and the files stay on the creator's machine. No cloud account, no telemetry, no lock-in. Cloud models are reached with your own keys, only when you choose them.
Production discipline.
163 backend tests plus a pixel golden test guard every release. Every user-visible change lands in a changelog, and features ship when the production needs them.
Tools should meet you at the finish line.
Every screen ends in an export named the way the engine expects, not a folder of raw renders. PNG or WebP, idle and hover pairs, ready for the game folder.

Valley Awakening is the adults-only visual novel in active development at Wargnema, and the production Sprite Studio is built around. An 18+ rule for characters is enforced in the app.
